Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Technician is assigned the following duties and responsibilities:

• Diagnoses software and hardware problems

• Installs and configures new computers and other IT equipment and servers

• Performs regular backup for the Data on the network

• Repairs and upgrades different types of computers (software and hardware)

• Identifies problems and repairs printers, copiers and scanners

• Keeps track of IT supplies and equipment e.g. cables, adapters and Ink cartridges, etc…

• Performs regular updates of servers and maintain well performance of the broadcasting servers

• Troubleshoots routine problems and maintenance of servers and the network infrastructure

• Installs cables in the organization related to work

• Carries out other duties as you may be requested by management

• Researches and learns about new software in the market that relates to the organization’s functions

• Informs and explains the basic usage of the software and shared interfaces e.g. emails, intranet

• Other related tasks as assigned
